I was trying to make space on my computer recently, and sorting through my files I came back to these projects I’d been developing when I was exploring Computer Aided Design (CAD), back in 2012 / 2013
I’d developed the Flower-Ring and Siren pieces using MATRIX, a software specifically for jewellery design and manufacture.
In using this technology, there were 2D challenges to my usual, hands-on creative process. But with focus, the on screen results once rendered can look fantastic.
I’ve not yet sent my CADS off for realisation; If you’d like to see the The Flower Ring and the Siren in real, gem encrusted, precious metal form, one day soon my hands will be making them real!
